Title: Business Law
Concentration: Required
Prerequisites: None
Description:

Business leaders face legal issues constantly whether they recognize them or not.No business leader can function without a basic understanding of legal issues created by the legal rules and regulations that govern their operations. Obviously when legal problems become substantial, lawyers are consulted. However, without a basic understanding of legal issues affecting business, business leaders will not even realize the legal ramifications (both personally and professionally) of business decisions and  lawyers will be consulted too late to avoid substantial problems. This course concentrates on assisting business leaders to recognize legal issues in day to day business transactions, providing a framework for knowing when to seek legal advice, and providing a framework to supervise the legal counsel.  (2010-DT)
